STUDENT & YOUTH MEMBER DISCOUNT

The American Federation of Musicians and Local 174-496 have long supported young musicians who aspire to be true professionals. As students of music, individuals are faced with the numerous hurdles that lay before them as they look forward to possible life careers as professional musicians. AFM membership is the perfect way to facilitate an understanding of the music business and offers valuable tools to aid young talent.

The American Federation of Musicians considers young musicians and students to be the future of our profession; therefore the AFM and Local 174-496 offer a special discount for youth members (up to 20 years of age) or full time student of any age. For those who qualify we waive the Federation and the Local initiation fees (a total of $115.00) and offer full membership for as little as one-quarter's dues. Total joining fee is currently only $39.00 for three months.
