How to Join

Download a membership application, fill out, sign and return with your first payment to the Union office at 2555 Ursulines Ave., New Orleans, LA 70119.

You may also download, fill out, and sign the application, then email it back to us at office@neworleansmusicians.org. Then simply call us at (504) 947-1700 to make your first payment.

If you’re joining as a full-time student member, please include a copy of a current student ID with your application. If you’re applying as two or more members of the same musical group, please note the name(s) of the group member(s) joining with you somewhere on your application. Each member must complete an application.

Once you’ve joined, you can pay subsequent dues here via PayPal. Please note PayPal requires us to charge an additional online service charge of 3.5%. You can avoid this fee by sending a check to 2555 Ursulines Ave., New Orleans, LA, 70119, or calling our office at (504) 947-1700 with a credit card.

Joining Fees

Federation and Local Initiation fees are one-time only charges. If you qualify for categories II or III, these fees are waived, yielding a savings of $115.

I. REGULAR MEMBERSHIP:

$65 Federal Initiation fee
$50 Local Initiation fee
$44 One Quarter dues (3 months)

=$159 total


II. YOUTH MEMBERSHIP (available to musicians through the age of 20) & STUDENT MEMBERSHIP (available to full-time students with valid, current ID):

Waived Federal Initiation fee ($65)
Waived Local Initiation fee ($50)
$44 One Quarter dues (3 months)

$44 total


III. TWO OR MORE MEMBERS OF THE SAME GROUP JOINING AT THE SAME TIME:

Waived Federal Initiation fee ($65)
Waived Local Initiation fee ($50)
$44 One Quarter dues (3 months)

$44 total for each member


IV. MEMBER OF ANOTHER LOCAL

Waived Federal Initiation fee ($65)
$50 Local Initiation fee
$44 One Quarter dues

$94 total
